Subject: D.B. Cooper

Subject: D.B. Cooper is a visual exploration and independent investigation into America’s most elusive skyjacker. While decades of research have failed to yield a definitive identity, the sheer volume of disclosed government files and media coverage has created a labyrinth of information. This publication pieces together articles and unredacted documents sourced from The Black Vault online archive.

1.    Covers, 2021.

Drawing inspiration from vintage newspapers and FBI dossiers, the design utilizes vibrant highlighting as a form of "anti-redaction"; a visual through-line that guides the reader through key discoveries and evidence. To contrast truth with speculation, articles later deemed fake or debunked are printed on stark black backgrounds, emphasizing the thin line between historical fact and true-crime fantasy.

2.    Highlighting as a tool for clarity, 2021.

3.    Interior Spread, 2021.

4. Debunked articles cast on black, 2021.
